Program Description
Chronic venous insufficiency is a common cause of leg pain and swelling, and is commonly associated with varicose veins.
Vein stripping and ligation has been the standard for treatment of bad valves for nearly 100 years, however, this procedure requires prolonged healing time and is associated with high morbidity rates. These procedures have been used along with more conservative approaches, such as diet and lifestyle changes, leg compression, and other less invasive procedures like sclerotherapy and phlebectomy. Recently, emerging laser treatments and radio frequency treatments have enjoyed better success rates and shorter recovery time than traditional stripping.

Comprehensive one and a half day course with hands-on workshop
Covers all aspects of venous reflux disease including basic anatomy, pathophysiology, diagnosis techniques, treatment options and the use of endovenous ablation technology.
Ultrasound Techniques: Venous Insufficiency Diagnosis and Treatment
A one-day hands-on workshop designed for sonographers and physicians
Workshop will cover anatomy, ultrasound theory and laboratory basics for vascular disease diagnosis and ultrasound support of newer endovenous ablation.
Advanced Endovenous Ablation of Incompetent Perforators
Learn advanced techniques conducted on live patients in a surgical practice environment
A full-day activity intended for those who already have an understanding of the fundamentals of endovenous ablation procedures and wanting to enhance their skills.
