Overall Educational Purpose
This continuing medical education activity focuses on providing women’s health care professionals with the most current information, guidelines and recommendations for screening, evaluating, testing and managing the female patient during her annual visit. When participating in an Omnia Education activity, you can expect active learning that includes strategies for applying what you learn into your practice, ancillary tools that supplement the educational process and opportunities for interaction with faculty. Our goal is to provide you with relevant education that meets identified needs so that results are measurable, sustained and lead to improved patient care.
You can expect to learn the following:
- Value and scope of the annual visit along with updated screening, diagnostic and treatment guidelines for disease management and prevention
- Ability to structure a woman’s annual visit to match her individual health profile and age, with an emphasis on the appropriate evidence-based, guideline driven health maintenance
- Value and importance of improving patient communications and counseling
Target Audience
This course is designed to meet the Continuing Medical Education needs of the practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Family Physician, Internist, Clinical Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant.
