Course Description



This full-day CME program is designed to provide practicing gynecologists, urogynecologists, urologists and clinicians specializing in women’s healthcare with cutting-edge information on recent advances in the diagnosis, management and treatment of urinary incontinence. The program includes in-office urodynamic testing, the interpretation of results to ensure proper diagnosis, patient counseling and treatment options from behavioral therapy and pharmacologic management through to surgical interventions. This course offers didactic lectures, interactive case studies and a hands-on workshop.  A breakfast, lunch and syllabus are also provided.

Objectives



Define and differentiate between the various types of incontinence, including stress, urge and overactive bladder

Apply the basic principles of urodynamic testing, including determining the indication for its use, interpreting results and counseling patients on the results 

Assess non-pharmacologic incontinence treatment options including behavioral modification,  physical therapy and biofeedback in order to advise a first line management plan that is appropriate to the patient

Compare the various pharmacologic treatment options, taking into account efficacy and compliance issues and determine when surgical intervention should be considered in order to design the most effective treatment plan

Evaluate available procedures, to include neuromodulation, TVT and TOT slings, to increase confidence and competence in determining appropriate treatment options for the various types of incontinence

This course is designed to meet the Continuing Medical Education needs of the practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Family Physician, Urogynecologist, Clinical Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and other healthcare professionals with an interest in the field of female urology.

Cancellation Policy



If cancellation is received prior to 14 days of the event, a registrant may receive full credit for a future Omnia Education course (to be used within 12 months), or the option of the course fee returned, less a $25 processing fee. If cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the conference, refunds are not available, however, a 50% credit will be applied towards a future Omnia Education course (to be used within 12 months).  All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing either by mail, email or fax.
