Objectives



Employ HPV DNA testing in the recommended manner, apply testing to the screening of women 30 years and older, and utilize the knowledge of the natural history of HPV to improve clinical outcomes and effectively counsel patients

Review the etiology of immunizations relative to adolescent and adult patients focusing on prevention and recommended schedules in order to reduce the outbreak of preventable clinical conditions

Assess the frequency and stages of acute migraine attacks in order to provide and employ a patient specific treatment and management plan

Utilize recommendations from the ACIP and ACOG to vaccinate for HPV and examine data from new clinical trials in men and older women who fall outside the ACIP recommended target to reduce the risk of cervical disease in the target population and beyond

Utilize knowledge from the recent FDA and CDC safety reviews to improve counseling of patients seeking HPV vaccination

Discuss various breast and ovarian cancer screening methods and select the most effective modality to facilitate early detection, increase prevention among at-risk patients and initiate appropriate follow up procedures

Counsel patients on the applicable risk factors and the strengths and limitations of new and established colorectal screening modalities in order to select an optimal patient specific screening method

Appraise the methods and tools employing the diagnostic algorithm for the effective treatment and management of bladder health issues in the clinical practice setting

Outline the etiologies and make an appropriate evaluation of a patient presenting with endometriosis in order to select treatment and manage symptoms

This course is designed to meet the Continuing Medical Education needs of the practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Family Physician, Clinical Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant.
