Course Description
This one-day workshop is designed for sonographers and healthcare professionals interested in ultrasound assessment of venous disease. A complete understanding will be gained on disease processes and venous anatomy, as well as treatment options. All participants will have the opportunity to scan patients with venous insufficiency disease.

Overall Educational Purpose
This continuing medical education activity focuses on the assessment of venous disease and the effective use of ultrasound technology in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating venous insufficiency. When participating in an Omnia Education activity, you can expect active learning that includes strategies for applying what you learn into your practice, and opportunities for interaction with faculty. Our goal is to provide you with relevant education that meets identified needs so that results are measurable and sustained and result in improved patient care.
You can expect to learn the following:
- Anatomy of the lower extremity venous system and the pathophysiology of venous insufficiency
- Use of ultrasound to evaluate and diagnose venous insufficiency
- Ultrasound technology utilized in scanning for venous insufficiency, to include deep and superficial systems, and scanning for incompetent perforators, by way of workshop demonstrations
Target Audience
This course is designed to meet the Continuing Medical Education needs of the Sonographers, Cardiologists, General Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons, Thoracic Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Interventional Cardiologists and other healthcare professionals with an interest in ultrasound assessment of venous disease.

Omnia Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation

Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is received prior to 14 days of the event, a registrant may receive full credit for a future Omnia Education course (to be used within 12 months) or the option of the course fee returned, less a $50 processing fee. If cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the conference, refunds are not available, however, a 50% credit will be applied towards a future Omnia Education course (to be used within 12 months). All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing either by mail, email or fax.
